We began early work on Space Defenders this last week, and are currently gearing up to work on building out our critical systems to begin establishing our game loop.
Last week we encountered issues with our source control tool of choice, for this project it is Perforce. We are both more familiar with gitHub, and are learning to use Perforce as we spin up this project. We encountered a variety of strange problems with Unreal 4 and Perforce resulting in us having to switch engine versions to Unreal 5. Thankfully, this solved the problems we were having but unfortunately, this means we will have to learn Unreal 5 on the fly during development. Exciting!
